The title for this review is hockley woods car park. Not hockley woods . So i guess im just going to review the car park. So .. here goes... well the car park was free for many years then after some rebelions they started charging. I think about 20p per year or something like that. Personally i thought that was reasonable. .... very rare for me to say parking carges are reasonable. I hate them. And traffic wardens. :p
Great for weekends with kids and dogs, don't get lost tho ;)
Lots of spaces close to main part of forest and great play park. Even public toilets
Excellent place to walk your four legged friends and a good place to meet like minded people as well.Dont pass the small van at the entrance either as good coffee,grub and a friendly welcome await,decent choice and a smile go a long way in this day and age.Overall a good place to exercise your self and a hound if you have one.
They do charge to park during working days, so be warned. Nice woods with sign posted walks varying in length. Often lots of doggy poo though and lots of dogs roaming free.
